Green energy to replace fossil fuel investments?
Great news on the Eco Friendly front is finally delivered to enthusiastics all around the world when the United Nations delighted us with the, now proven fact, that Green Energy is on the rise. Considering the realization that we all are neglecting our Mother Earth, with small minded ignorant ways on a daily basis, this writer thinks it was about time that strong measures were taken in the endless battle against the more and more evidently forthcoming 11th hour of our planet.
The milestone has been reached today when learned from the executive director of the UN´s Environment Programme, Achim Steiner, that in comparisson with the previous years investments made on 2008, the Green Energy overtook the fossil fuels for power generation for the very first time. The biggest shock of all is that most of the countries that are now switching out of fossil fuels in order to decrease enviromental change are the developing countries. It is a formidable advance that new sectors are the ones attracting more capital into the long awaited change that eviromentalists and Eco-enthusiasts have been fighting for, for so long.
Today´s news beyond its obvious impact on the future of our planet and the upcoming generations that will inherit it; it is also a substancial leap forward in the never ending lesson that enviromentalists and Eco-enthusiasts have been trying to instruct to the common audience, non believers and many times blind folded, on the fact that this planet is not ours to do as we please, but to take care of it, help it to grow and blossom and not to destroy it since we´re not the owners but merely the inhabitants of it.
