My older post relayed on what to use when you would go grocery shopping. In our country we are used to using plastic. But according to researcher, neither plastic nor paper bags are needed for grocery.

As today more and more countries are implementing and encouraging everyone to get their own eco bags. An online group has been creating bags that are eco friendly and reusable. According to ecobags.com they narrated a report from Canada which stated, “Reusable bags present health risks because of germs and bacteria.

With that they had given some cautions who are using eco bags for sanitary purposes. To summarize everything it is very important to wash the bags after using them. In any point where the bag gets wet it is very important to wash them properly and dry them. The sun helps keeps the bacteria from growing.

Green bag however is conquering at the grocery shops, encouraging people to buy one. Although others are still reluctant on these products, it is best to educate more.

SM Super mall has launched their own green bag at P39 for every P500 worth of purchases.

SM’s Green Bag is a hard wearing non woven fabric bag made of 100-percent polypropylene, and may last up to two years of weekly use. Polypropylene is recyclable, non-toxic, allergy-free and non-reactive to human skin.

And every time you purchase the green bag, one peso will be donated to an environmental cause with every purchase of the SM Super malls Green Bag.

The more bags you buy the more people you help plus you get a credit for helping the environment.
