SIMPLE STEPS IN SAVING OUR PLANET

recycle_logo

It saddens me to see the world like this. Everything that is happening today is what I call our own penalty for disregarding our duties as tenants of this planet. Years ago, as people evolve and technology became more interesting we tend to forget that one day we will all live helplessly.

Today more environmentalists are encouraging people through commercials and events about how we are affected to the rapidly changing environment. I could clearly remember that although it was hot in our country it never burns us like it is today. Sometimes it rains, stops. The weather is too unpredictable

As a result I have been finding ways to help our planet.

Every time you leave your car at home you reduce air pollution. Aside from that, you get healthy and save money. Cutting gas means cutting air pollution. Why not ride a bicycle or take a public transportation? One good way is to encourage your family to do the same as well.

Change your incandescent bulbs to fluorescent compact lamps. China has committed to energy efficient lighting. China, which manufactures 70 percent of the world’s light bulbs, has made a commitment to phase out incandescent light bulbs in favor of more energy-efficient compact fluorescent lamps—a move that could reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 500 million tons annually—according to a report by Reuters.

Remeber the 3 R’s.

REDUCE, REUSE RECYCLE

Always try your best to buy reusable products rather than disposable items. Try not throw your newspapers, plastic bottles, cans, magazines and books. Like I mentioned before you can even create scrapbooks from those items.

EAT VEGETABLES

Remember when you used to be young, and your mother forces you to eat green? Well, she is right. If you try, stop eating meat to help our environment. According to study Every year in the United States alone, 80 percent of all agricultural land, half of all water resources, 70 percent of all grain, and one-third of all fossil fuels are used to raise animals for food.

PLANT A TREE

Start digging and plant a tree. During photosynthesis, trees and other plants absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime.

Encourage everyone in doing so. The more you act the more chances of saving our planet.
