Green Google Office Does Away With Trash Cans
At the Google office in London, trash cans under employee desks have been removed. This is to promote a more eco-conscious way of throwing away garbage by having employees make an effort to reduce waste and recycle materials instead. It seems that having the trash bin under the desk makes it so convenient for its workers to just keep throwing waste away.
The internet giant company is hoping to reduce its carbon footprint and has so far been successfully doing so. The removal of trash cans is just one of the many initiatives the company has undertaken in order to become carbon neutral.
The company even put up a website, Going Green at Google, to show just how much committed they are at this. You can check for the different programs they have for its employees on this page.
