Put the Eco Touch in Your Trash!!
It is a known fact that on average each person produces over half a ton of waste every year, worst of all we only recycle 19% percent of that. Figures are improving but there is still so much more people can do when it comes to recycling our waste with the eco touch!! Paper and card make up a third of what we throw away and if it takes 17 trees to make one tonne of paper then this should really be stopped its a bad amount of unnecessary waste.
To make recycling more interesting and somewhat appealing to the eyes try out some stylish recycling bins remembering of course to separate organic products from paper and plastic, also separate glass and it would make it a lot easier to put your different colored bottles away from each other depending on the weight, if their hollow or clear. Be sure to rinse out your milk cartons or bottles, all these speeds along the overall process when it comes to finalizing the recycling of your waste.
In the future when buying your household shopping try and avoid buying plastic products, if available purchase drinks and bottles that maybe reusable and consider some eco based health food stores.
Dont take any bags if shopping for small basic items and carry a reusable string or cloth bag when making larger purchases and for food shopping. When buying your fruits, vegetables or pastas purchase the ones without wrapping so when it comes to recycling time you have less waste and less fuss.
In most recycle friendly countries the different trash bins contain different symbols for your varied waste, try and familiarize yourself with these symbols and if your in the position where you have to do the recycling yourself bring your waste in separate containers for the different overall garbage cans that you will empty them into, remember to wash bottles and cans before hand.
