Green Gardening!

If your a newbie gardner, a longtime one or just curious then its important to make sure you begin or continue the eco friendly way! The most important thing when it comes to eco friendly gardening is water conservation,  you need to plan ahead and conserve as much water as possible, its of the uppermost importance. It would be a clever idea to use water bottles or other large devices to collect rainwater throughout the year. Water your plants generously when needed which enables them to search for water more often in dry weather and encourages deep rooting. More is less when it comes to watering your plants.

Peat seemed to be an essential part to good gardening, however there are many excellent alternatives to peat which makes it even more impossible to justify its status in everyday domestic gardens. Get the message out to your local retailers and inform them that you wish to have the best quality free peat products, if the message is sent out strong enough and by the most people then the word should get true .

Before you throw anything out from your shed or garden make sure that it cant be reused again, many plastic pots and containers can be used over and over again just make sure to clean constantly keeping your plants and you free of harm from disease. We could use cut of bottles when we finish our coke or yoghurt containers.

Grass and leaves attract wildlife providing shelter and reproduction encourage this and you will have slug and snail eaters on call providing the safety of your garden, this benefits everyone so feel free to leave at least some mess around of the leaf variety.  Remember to give the overall presence of your garden an overall eco feel, try searching here to get you started.
