GREEN NEWS

Summer is a time for people to relax and lounge around beaches. The beaches give us a cooling sensation during summer.

But how GREEN can u get?

US EPA has a web site that let’s you know about any particular shore lines health status, and aside from that you also need to take care of your health.

For skin protection, look for paraben free sun screen products. Every beach or pool outing calls for a good cooler. Make sure the cooler is not made from Styrofoam. Invest in a long lasting quality built cooler. Aside from buying local beverages, why not invest more on water? Better yet, minimize bottled water, use tap waters.  Have fun this summer and help our support our environment in going green.

In France, they have created green plastic containers that look like apples, which had multiple outlets for depositing plastic, glass, and aluminum containers. Another great idea in France is renting bikes. One way to save gas and lessen the pollution. Bikes can also help you save in paying terminal fees and other transportation fees.

Along with that ASUS has invented a Eco Friendly laptop have announced a new line of notebook computers with a number of features that will appeal to Eco fans. The case is bamboo (wearing its green on its sleeve), but it has a number of other elements that really make it a green device.

“”Its case is covered in bamboo, which I suppose is a statement, but the real show is inside. All of the plastic in it is labeled and recyclable; it is lined with cardboard; there are no paints, sprays or even electroplating used on its components. It looks like it is designed to be easily taken apart for self-service and easy upgrading of components, usually the downfall of notebooks.”

Now that is promising. More and more companies and environment enthusiast are creating ways in keeping our planet green. After all it is our only home.
