Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch

r198256_756386With the passing of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, last Thursday, one of the things in people’s mind is on whether or not his estate, the very famous Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara California,  will ever be rehabilitated and preserved.

The property, which has been Michael’s home since the late 80′s, sits on a 2,800 acres of land and used to serve as an amusement part for the legendary performer and his friends. Before his death though, the ranch has already shown signs of deterioration, as the singer’s financial status was also dwindling. In fact, it was foreclosed in 2007. But by 2008, reports say that Jackson found investors who will keep the ranch in tip top shape again.

That is, until his death.

So, what happens to this property now? What happens to this beautiful landscape? Are they going to turn this into another Graceland? A lot of people could perhaps benefit from turning the ranch into a tourist attraction and memorial, especially Michael’s immediate beneficiaries (like his kids). Hopefully, conservation and rehabilitation should become a priority for this once glorious residence.
