Green Tips To Celebrate July 4th
Many in the United States look forward to the fourth of July holiday festivities the most. It has the perfect party atmosphere — warm weather, good food, good company offering the warmness of familiarity and friendship, and then there’s the fourth of July revelry with all the fireworks.
In preparation for this year’s celebration this Saturday, we hope you have come prepared to commemorate the festivities with a little note and care for Mother Nature.
Here are just some of the simple things we suggest you do to celebrate tradition while contributing to help keep the environment green —
- We’re pretty sure you’re going to have a wonderful barbeque party and cleaning up should be the least of your worries. Most families use disposables on occasions like this. Keep in mind to use PAPER disposables and stay away from plastic cups, plates and utensils.
- Recycle decorations. Look into the attic to see if there are some old materials you can make use of for prettifying the place. Or if you really plan on making new ones, make sure to store them away carefully after the party so that you can re-use this for next year.
- Speaking of recycling, make the after-party fun by organizing a recycling activity together with your family or even your neighbors. Have little kids collect used beer cans and bottles around the area and the old ones pile up the trash as a way to clean up. Reward everyone with a sumptuous serving of cake or ice cream after that.
Happy Independence!
