Thousand of  Eco activist have created ways to help our environment. One of the people who really practiced an Eco lifestyle was Hilaire Purbrick. He lived 7-foot wide cave that he dug on his own land. According to him he is happy with his home and has been living there for 16 years!

According to an article,

Brighton City Council recently examined the cave in question and concluded it lack a sufficient number of fire exits, therefore Purbrick was banned from continuing living in it.

Purbrick ignored the provision, as expected. To follow the case through, the local council won a court order to formally evict Purbrick from the cave.

Despite everything Purbrick stated:

- I am still living there and intend to continue to do so. I know lots of people in this town who live in houses with only one door with no fire exit – Hilaire Purbrick said.

Judge Jonathan Simpkiss told the Brighton Court that apart from lacking a fire exit, the cave was highly dangerous because it might collapse.

Authorities tried to evict Purbrick from his cave in 1999, where he used to run an illegal vegetable shop. Purbrick got away then, pointing out that he had a single customer – a pregnant woman who was buying his sprouts.

Although a lot has been saying he his unsafe because of no fire exits and claims of him selling homegrown vegetables illegally to local residents, and that he was keeping chickens and bees without permission.

So far, Mr. Hilaire Purbrick has been fighting for his rights. The court may won, but according to him he will still continue to do what is right.
