Green Gadgets for Your Home
Since the recession has been hitting hard on everyone and there’s been a lot of pollution lately, more and more green ideas are resurfacing.
From web ecoist, Lamps and lighting fixtures are another place where one can go green in offbeat ways. The recycled paper lamp designs above are far more interesting than what you will find at a normal store and are also ripe for DIY copy-cats. The strange solar lighting strategy below them is a bit cliché and postmodern but at least a great design concept.

There are all kinds of soaps, conditioners, candles, perfumes and other products that promote a ‘return to nature’ experience – but artificial scents rarely deliver. There is nothing quite like the tactile sensation of walking barefoot on soft green moss carpet in the morning. And of course: the act of drying your feet on the moss keeps it alive – a perfect (if unusual) domestic form of symbiosis.

A refrigerator is notoriously one of the biggest, bulkiest, heaviest and difficult-to-move piece of furniture in a house or apartment. Not so with this alternative portable version of the appliance. Not only is it lighter and more stylish than most big-box refrigerators but it also collapses and expands to accommodate different levels of need. This saves space for the studio apartment dweller but also saves energy not used to unnecessarily refrigerate extra area. A central pillar supports each level and permeable structural layers allow cold air, generated at the base, to easily circulate upward through the different spaces.

Clearly, everyone has been designing this to create and Eco friendly touch.
