Get this green kids party started!
As we are approaching the weekend a lot of people take the time to catch up with friends and family and probably have a lot of parties to go through that maybe for your children or friends children, if you are going to one or planning one yourself then there is plenty you can do to keep your beliefs and have an Eco friendly party in the comfort of your own home and back yard. Make it a night to remember for you and your kids.
First you have to look at who your party is aimed towards, if it is for kids then there is a lot of options to choose to keep a nice environmentally friendly atmosphere for the kids.
For the napkins choose recycled paper towels or even fabric scraps from a fabric store to make fun colorful napkins. Foe the utensils, plates and cups again choose recyclable plates and utensils, safer and healthier for the planet, it also passes on a good positive message to the children.
For the food and beverages try and stick to the healthy and organic choices and try and purchase them locally, better for everyone all round. It would also be a good choice to serve finger foods that dont require the use of plates such as cheese, cupcakes, yoghurts and sandwiches.
For the decorations keep everything homemade and the kids can have a lot of fun making whatever they choose out of cardboard.
Finally for gifts and game ideas it would be a nice idea to adopt an animal or make a donation to worthy cause, even planting a tree or some flowers together would be fun for the kids while educating them at the same time, think of some planet and animal friendly activities that will benefit everyone and have a great eco party.
