Energy Efficient Police Station
In London today is had been announced that a local police station is to install many Eco construction products to make it more energy efficient. A total of 42 buildings which may turn into higher numbers are to undergo a green makeover by order of the Mayor of London scheme. The first to get the much needed work done will be the Wembley police station.
The aim behind this new scheme is to tackle climate chance and try and cut emissions by at least 25 percent. As part of the plan behind this new Eco construction plan the buildings will now feature Eco friendly lights fitted and even the extra benefit of the solar panels.
Also amazing combined heat and power system which will capture the heat that is produced through the energy generation, allowing this to also be used locally which is an added bonus to the residents near by.
The mayor has said that all this is part of a wider scheme to cut harmful emissions. These emissions can come in many forms such as automobile emissions, industrial emissions and the emissions from the power plants still using coal. All these create a very negative impact on the environment and planet overall and contribute to the global warming fight we are all facing. The fact is that in the United States alone 6% of the global warming impact is due to the harmful emissions.
This new scheme in London is just the kind of positive thinking and decision that more people need to take in their business, homes or anywhere they spend the majority of their days so we can try and put an end to the damage done to our planet.
