Fiat the car manufacturer has received an award for its innovative Eco:Drive technology, picking up this award by Auto Express at the magazines new car awards earlier this year. The Eco:Drive technology is specially designed to save fuel and to reduce exhaust emissions by a large percentage. As the driver you can download a record of your driving style from your car to your computer by using a USB memory stick and then seeing how you can reduce your impact on the environment.Â
This amazing system was launched my Fiat last year and has been a big success, it is available online and free of charge, this award winning system actually helps drivers to understand the impact that their driving has in terms of carbon footprints and fuel consumption, at the end of the day you can check on your driving and how to improve it.
Fiat well deserved this award, it is a big step for assisting people in this constant fight against climate change. They have put together this amazing system which seems to do all the work for you, there is no excuse of not understanding the impact that your driving has when the USB chip actually tells you. The sad fact is that most people do not understand the damage done to the planet on a daily bases caused by cars and the heavy pollution that frequent travel does, in the air alone there is an unhealthy atmosphere, if it continues the amount of clean air we breath on a daily basis will keep reducing dramatically, the good news is systems like this will help people to understand so we can all work together and have a positive, healthy driving experience.Â
