So yes, it’s true… everyone is really jumping on the green bandwagon including Barbie!
I was amused to discover that there is a special area at the Barbie website where young girls can actually buy recycled Barbie items for their own use.
Launched last year, in celebration of Earth Day, Barbieâ„¢ BCause consist of playful items made from the doll’s excess fabrics and trimmings. The collection consist of some really adorable items like totes, hobo bag, messenger bags, pillows, diaries, coin purses and hats. What’s great about this is that it’s supposed to help teach young girls on the value of recycling. And what best way to reach out to them, right? With Barbie as the tool. I’d say this is a genius idea.
The Barbieâ„¢ BCause collection is exclusive to all Toys”R”Us stores nationwide. Price range between $5.99 to $19.99, depending on item.
