Children design Eco-Park

In Norfolk there is a big change and good news coming as a design has been produced for a £120,000 Eco-park especially designed for children. This will truly be the first of its kind in Norfolk as well as being an amazing achievement. Officers from the county council worked with children to create this vision of a park. The designs include  a sand pit, boulders, a look out tower, wildflowers, mounds and long grass with special pathways built for easy access for those in wheelchairs or for families using push chairs.Â
The aim for this park is to make use of the natural materials and provide a special type of play area for children, it will offer something very different than your average parks, not to mention a safer healthier overall environment for the kids.Paul Nicholson the manager of city hall said ” it is based around green principles, using local materials such as wood and boulders. What we are trying to do is restore natural play for children” In other words creating a good atmosphere where children can play and learn all at the same time making play time more fun and resourceful.Â
This park has been left unused for years and it is finally getting a makeover of the Green kind with a bonus advantage for families with younger children who want to experience a fun play time while seeing the beauty that is all around them and learning a little more about their environment in the process, its a clever idea which many will benefit from.Â
