Help keep beaches clean!

Eco-Warriors have fought one of their greatest battles against beach rubbish. With the summer months in full growth and people taking their chances to soak up sun at the local beaches it was only natural that of course rubbish which are potential threats to our beautiful ocean life and planet would start stocking up in high numbers.

It was a good thing that volunteers from an Eco beach clean up group got together and teamed up with the national trust to collect more than a ton of debris from various beaches. The rubbish collected included plastic bottles, containers, ropes, various footwear, carrier bags, plastic ring pulls and many drink cans. The organizers where more than impressed with the impressive turnout of people.

The large turnout included all ages, even toddlers who were encouraged by their parents to put things in the bin instead of just dropping them anywhere. The outcome including much cleaner beaches with some amazing work done by the people who got together and made their local beaches have a cleaner healthier atmosphere for all.

When debris are removed it will prevent them been consumed by seabirds and even wildlife when after a long process it would be broken up in the sea. Remember that whatever happens in the water will eventually reach us as the people on this earth, from fish eaters to travelers, we all live on this planet so every little bit helps and the outcome will be more than worthy when we are living in a non toxic, safe environment.
