Panasonic’s New Led Bulbs
Now that incandescent lights are banned, Panasonic has been quick to come out with a new LED lightbulb. It will be first be made available in Japan by the 21st of October. The good news is, the lightbulb is supposedly going last 40 times longer than incandescents.
According to Panasonic, this new bulb, if used for about five hours a day, is said to last to up to 19 years. It also makes use of about 1/8 of the power incandescents use, which suggest a significant saving in energy.
The new bulbs should retail to about $40 US.
Led lights are not newly discovered. They’ve existed long before, at a higher cost but now Panasonic has really made them more affordable for many homes to use and this is a great initiative from the company.
