Where To Recycle Old CD’s and DVD’s?
I have plenty of this old CD and DVD disc lying inside cabinets and shelf and I don’t really have a lot of use for them anymore. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. Many homes and offices, I believe, have a lot of these going to waste. You think one thin disc isn’t going to do a lot of harm, until, six months later, you found out you’ve got a pile of ‘em.
These disc are not recyclable just lying around there gathering dust unless they are broken down into bits and pieces and used for something else. Like plastic, they aren’t biodegradable so it’s not advisable to trash them out. So, where do you send old discs like these?
Try the CD Recycling Center of America or Greendisk. These are two companies that take in your old CDs and DVDs and will try to reuse them in other ways before finally breaking them down to recyclable pieces.
Might we also suggest donating these to the local library, especially if it’s still useful and helpful to them.
