Turning Plastic Into Fuel
There is an emerging eco company based in Washington that believes they can find a better and more efficient way to make use of wasted plastic. As everyone knows, plastic is non-biodegradable and remains in the spoil of the earth for centuries. The company is then working on turning this plastic into a carefully controlled fuel energy. In fact, it’s $5 Million plant was recently unveiled to the press the other day.
The company is called Envion, and its plant has been kept under tight security before the unveiling. The plant is said to include chemical reactors for mixing materials that should deliver infra-red energy, thus it will be able to convert most waste, including plastic of any type including PET to about 82% efficiency. This mixture will also include special components of diesel and gasoline. Each ton of waste is projected to produce about five barrels.
