Paul McCartney’s new car
Beatles legend animal rights activist and most of all Eco activist Sir Paul McCartney has once again took a stand for Green lovers and our ways, only this time its related to cars. Paul had recently been given a Lexus LS600H, a beautiful car that is entirely Eco, it was a gift from the Lexus company to help spread the word about hybrid cars and with Paul being someone major on Green living he seemed like the right choice.
While it was being delivered to its new owner however trouble struck, as people already know carbon footprints are bad and can damage the planet rapidly, they can come from cars, fuel etc, basically in many forms where travel takes place. The new Lexus arrived to Paul from a Korean air flight instead of a boat which was originally expected, the journey in question would have released a carbon footprint of 38,050kg compared to the smaller figure of 397kg had it been delivered by boat.
Sir Paul is a vocal advocate of vegetarianism and has always spoke out about issues which trouble our environment so for him to have a car flown in rather than delivered by boat is going to be troubling news to the former Beatle. A carbon footprint is measured in units of carbon dioxide and the amount that was let into the air while the car was delivered was enough to drive a vehicle around the world 6 times, overall this is very negative and I can not wait to see what McCartney will say about it.
