Ziploc Alternatives

Screen shot 2009-10-02 at 9.26.26 AMTo some green proponents, the Ziploc is the enemy. These plastic baggies aren’t exactly deemed as a biodegradable, eco-friendly item in spite of the fact that these very useful and practical. I myself use a lot of these to store my knick-knacks, to be honest. And they do keep my junk secure for years.

However, there are still others who make use of Ziplocs for everyday and then throws them away after awhile, thus contributing to the pollution of the environment.

But fret not, Ziploc has heard the cries and the pleas and has already come up with an alternative, with its new Ziploc Evolve. This item is made of 25% less plastic. It is also apparently manufactured using 50% renewable wind energy. Packaging has also been thought of really well as the baggies are packed and sold in recycled paperboard carbon. It’s now a product more reusable and less of a pollutant.

This new, more eco-friendly, plastic Ziploc is making green advocates really happy towards the brand. Way to go!
