GREENOPIA’s Green Guide
Living green and practicing the lifestyle just got easier with Greenopia. It is the largest directory on the internet that features sustainable and organic brands.
Say, your looking for a certain organic food and has failed to find it in the supermarket. You can then go online, check Greenopia’s listings and it will tell you where the most sustainable product is available and how you could get it.
The site features ratings and assessments of products, manufacturers and businesses in certain cities. But theres are not the only features available. It also has a community of green advocates, some news articles and a blog section for tips and stories.
Founded in 2005, the site is the brainchild of Gay Browne who was inspired to go on a green lifestyle after suffering from asthma for so long. Since its conception, the site was able to develop guides for cities like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. It will soon have Chicago, Seattle, Denver and Portland to its listings.
Greenopia is also available as an Iphone Applcation, where you can access over a thousand businesses. For now, only the Los Angeles area is available, but the list should be expanded in the months to come.
