Alphabet Pillows
Old jackets, t-shirts and short can be recycled and pass down to your child or sisters. But have you ever thought of creating pillows using old jackets and t-shirts and forming alphabets? Hilary Cosgrove did and she managed to put green in an eco friendly way. Some of which are sold and customers can choose or collect the letters that they like.

I green spot chose Hilary Cosgrove from Etsy to show us how you can make us of recycling.
“Clothing fashion trends end and clothes are destined to be junked or thrown away. However, things are now different when Hilary Cosgrove started to sew some stylish Alphabet Pillows. These wonderful and educational pillows are made from old and recycled jackets. Some of the pillows still have the buttons in it while some have the pockets still in-tacked. Hilary is capable of sewing all the letters and so buyers can choose or collect the letters that they like. They can have a spelling of their names or have the English alphabet complete for their kids’ educational purposes. This product has a very cool and eco-friendly approach.
These pillows are made from recycled suit-jackets. Some will have buttons, some will have a pocket, all retro awesome tweeds, herringbones and checks.. I have lots to choose from and can do all letters.
All letters are custom, the photos are a great example of what I can do!
The pillows range in size depending on the letter. The ‘a’ for example is roughly 10″ x 14″.”
