Here’s something else that makes the iPhone an even cooler product. Scrolling through it’s available applications, environmentalists should be happy to know there are some really nifty tools in there that will help with green consciousness and awareness. Below are just some of our cool picks:
1. The Green Meter – This is a top pick among iPhone Green users and is a big favorite. The application is for measuring your car’s fuel usage, among other things and helps you to make your driving habits more efficient, with less of the unnecessary emissions. The application is for $5.99
2. Green Tips – This is a free application that supplies you with daily tips on how to live a greener life. Because it is a free tool though, sometimes it doesn’t work right. If this does happen, you can always subscribe to The Green Lemur, which is also a free application with similar use, but it is a more comprehensive one.
3. Shopgreen – What I like about this application is that lets you measure and see how much CO2 you have saved by effectively living the green way and thus, you get discounts at some participating stores. It makes your efforts a lot more rewarding. (Well, the real reward is providing a healthy environment for the future, the shopping bonus is really just a bonus!)
4. Find Green is an especially helpful directory for finding green businesses in your area.
