Building an Eco Lego House

There is a German company that is coming up with a not so novel idea for putting up houses. It’s an interesting concept though, one that many adults have known since childhood. The houses will have to be put together like, what else, but blocks, similar to that of Lego’s.

Called the HIB System, this is actually a very earth friendly home design. The blocks are made soundproof. They are also well insulated and very much energy efficient. The blocks have been manufactured without chemicals, so it’s safe and non-toxic, mostly culled from natural Black Forest pine. Weighing about 25kg per block, this is also earthquake proof and very durable even during storms…and perhaps even the Big Bad Wolf.

Blocks come in pre-designed houses so that building the house is easier.

Here is more information from HIB:

The award winning HIB-System combines the need to build an ecologically toxin free home with the simplicity of a prefabricated system resulting in a building of exceptional strength.
