November 15th is America Recycles Day

People in the United States should mark and save the date, November 15th, as the “America Recycles Day” . It will be, as the name suggest, a day where recycling activities are fully encouraged. There will be a group of people taking snapshots everything in America, to mark this event. This is spearheaded by the Keep America Beautiful organization.

According to Rob Wallace though, the occasion is not a one time only event in a year. “While we’re celebrating recycling on America Recycles Day, recycling isn’t a one-day proposition. It should be a 24/7, 365-day effort.”

KAB has apparently fielded about 650 volunteers and coordinator who will oversee that recycling activities are happening across the country. They will be trooping hospital, churches, municipalities and schools to raise awareness and make this date known.

Says Wallace: “The timing this year is particularly interesting, as the nation is considering clean energy and climate change as an issue. Recycling is the simplest and easiest thing people can do to have a real impact on climate change.”
