Keeping warm and energy efficient
Winter is here, the days get shorter, the nights get longer and more people are spending their evenings inside the home. Now how about making sure your home is energy efficient with lots of clean air for your family who will be spending long periods of time inside it. Its important, and now is the perfect time of the year to make the change with a few small things.

First thing you can do is make sure that a draft can not escape in, this is particularly important for those inside the home who may suffer from any form of bad breathing, a new born baby or the elderly all are prone to colds and flu so avoid the drafts by using a draft guard, this can be placed alongside any door.
Try to avoid gas ovens, these can release a lot of carbon monoxide which over a long period of time could be potentially fatal. If you switch to unvented gas heaters it would make all the difference for you and your planet.
Along with your fire alarm you should look into purchasing a carbon monoxide detector to be on the safe side, we all use a lot of appliances in the home and it is better to be safe than sorry. Also an air filter is perfect for any room in the home, 2 would be better than one, it will purify the air making the standard cleaner, fresher and the environment healthier for you and your family during all seasons.
