Earth Hour, March 27th
Don’t forget to turn off the lights this Saturday, March 27th at 8:30 pm, your local time. We’re having another observation of EARTH HOUR, which is now three years in the running.
The first observance of this began in Sydney, Australia in the year 2006. It was a very symbolic act that managed to get the strong message across the world. And the message is that we need to do something, we need to act on climate change. Now, the WWF has taken the initiative to hold this all over the world, where every household in every part of the globe is encouraged to switch off the lights for an hour at 8:30 pm on a designated date.
My family and I have participated in the past three Earth Hours and we will be doing this again for Saturday. I hope you do the same, too.
