Crafty Things To Do This Spring Time
Instead of buying new dresses or accessories for the spring, why not sift through your old piles of clothes, get crafty and repair or restyle this. You don’t necessarily have to be a master at sewing. You just have to know what look you want to create. Add a few beads here and there to a plain shirt, or try your hand at hand painting over colored tees for a little casual but fun look. You personalize your style, and you keep waste at bay by not buying any more new clothes.
Or, if you really have to buy something….buy from the thrift store and then just restyle these at home with a thread, scissors, a nice pattern and some lovely idea.
This is actually a great idea for those who are easily bored with the clothes they wear or those who have so much to wear but never really want to give up spaces in their cabinets by donating this to charity. What else are you going to do with all those clothes anyway, if you’re not donating?
Some clothes that are no longer in fashion can be given a fresher look just by updating it and changing its style.
Or from these old clothes, you can perhaps fashion a totally new item, like a bag or commission someone else to do this for you.
There are so many things you can do to items just sitting in your cabinet. Take the time to evaluate what you have in your closet.
