Going green at work
Most of our waking days are spent in work so it should never be neglected when making the change to a more Eco atmosphere. If you run your own company then you can make changes that everyone should follow, however if you just work their then you can still make changes and get everyone involved. Becoming Green-Friendly benefits everyone so start today in your office.
Firstly, if possible considering telecommuting. Aside from the joy of working at home, you are also creating less carbon footprints and fossil fuels. If more people could work at home the pollution in the order brought on by heavy traffic and fuels from cars would be dramatically reduced for the better.
Lunch is an important meal of the day, the Eco thing to do is to prepare your own preferably organic or purchased from your local store. Always keep your business local. Its not only Eco but very healthy. If your company has a cafeteria perhaps you should suggest a few changes to the daily menu’s, all it takes is once voice to make things happen.
There is a lot of waste which builds up in a workplace, most of it is paper. Instead of tree’s been chopped down for your paper needs why not just email important documents. Avoid printing if possible or just stick to the necessary items, also try and suggest a recycling program. The more people that get involved in the workplace the easier it will be to make changes and stick to them.
