Sex Toys Try to Save the Planet?
A vibrator and dildo definitely seem like unlikely super heroes in an eco-conscious crusade to save the planet but according to AdultSexToys.com, two new innovative sex toys on the market are going against the industry norms and trying to do just that.
As terms like “organic” and “all natural” have started to become hot marketing commodities it almost seems safe to assume that when the sex toy industry, notorious for manufacturing cheaply made products in China using phthalates (harmful chemical plasticizers which have already been partially banned in the US for use in children’s toys ), starts using terms like “eco-friendly” they might very well just be jumping on the bandwagon of a marketing ploy to paste a cleaner image on what is considered to be, at least environmentally speaking, a relatively dirty industry.
Despite a push to ban phthalate use in sex toy manufacturing currently spear headed by Greenpeace in the EU, in which participation by certain manufacturers in the industry is very valid, what else is really being done?
