American University Pledges to be Carbon Neutral by 2020

American University, Northern Arizona State University, Antioch University, and the University of Montana are the only doctorate-granting universities with aggressive 2020 carbon neutrality dates. American University’s plan is one of the most ambitious plans in the nation for a large, urban campus without an engineering or agriculture school. AU is the first university in Washington, D.C. to announce a carbon-neutrality plan.
