School Lunches? Mind Your Wastes

It’s back to school time. For parents this means it is back to preparing school lunches for their younger kids. To me this is always a real challenge as it’s sometimes hard to come up with good, healthy food for your kids. It’s also a challenge because when they come home the end of the day, I sometimes have to deal with leftovers and wastes, with plastic bags and brown bags all dirty.

A friend of mine, however, pointed me to these reusable snack bags which I think is really perfect for snacks and lunches of your school age kids.

This is called the snackTaxi and it come in cute prints that I think even older kids will like. The bag is made of 100% cotton, and inside, it is lined with polyurethane-coated nylon material. These materials are both free from lead and phthalate and the bags may be washed after use, to quickly dry overnight. So, instead of using brown bags or plastic containers, this is a lot more eco-friendly.

Looks pretty neat, huh?
