Clearing up the Green Myths
It is a common misconception that when making the change to green everything will either be more complicated or expensive. This could very well be the reason that to many people maintain a busy lifestyle with no thoughts left for the environment. It is important to be aware of the ” Green Myths” and then decide if it is the right choice for you.

The most common misconception relates to money. It is wide belief that choosing organic products, wearing hemp, eating different foods and other options are all a lot more expensive than your ordinary shopping. This is completely untrue. In the majority of the cases you will actually save more money than you loose. Sometimes a solar energy bulb or a dvd player that saves energy may look expensive but when your energy bill is reduced you will feel the difference.
On a similar issue about energy and power, it is often believed that your appliances are not using power if they are switched of, same rule applies of cords and plugs. Always unplug everything, they may only use a small amount of energy but it will add up very quickly.Do some research into “vampire power” to see what exactly occurs with your appliances.
Finally there is the water debate, tap versus bottled. It seems tap water is now considered dirty and bottled water is the way to go. Again this is untrue. If unsure purchase a water filter but it is always recommendable to drink tap water. It saves money, the planet, and there is nothing to be recycled afterwards. All them empty bottles take a long time to recycle. Be Green Aware!
