Shifting From Brown Rice to White Rice
In trying to lose weight and do away with too much cholesterol, a change in eating habits was in order for our family. We began preparing brown rice instead of white rice for some of the meals we have. The shift was a short adjustment, considering brown rice doesn’t exactly taste the same as white rice. In a matter of months I have considerably lose the extra flab and fat in my body and eating brown rice has helped me keep this trimmed down.
2. Great for digestion.
As it is rich in fiber, brown rice makes digestion easier too. It also helps reduce the risk of colon cancer as toxins are lessened.
3. Great for energy.
Because brown rice releases sugar much slower, you don’t get tired and hungry in the middle of the day, or after eating lunch. Your body still feels conditioned and you can function better because of it.
