Tips For Doing Winter Laundry

One activity that is often left aside is doing the laundry. For many busy families this is a daily task which needs to be carried out more than once a day. When you think about all that energy been wasted from long sessions with the washing machine, and unhealthy detergents it makes the task of changing to a more green friendly way of washing easier.

The first course of action is choosing the right detergent. Sadly the majority of ordinary detergents tend to contain a lot of bad ingredients, and toxins which could easily cause damage to the surrounding environment. Avoid this by choosing bio-degradable and natural detergents. They are readily available and will leave your clothes cleaner and fresher!

Saving energy is essential to performing a full Eco laundry wash. The water your clothes are been cleaned in should ideally be cold. Not only will the end result be a more cleaner outcome, but colder water uses up a lot less energy. If you have that option on your machine then always select it. There is really no reason to select hot water.

Make your loads as full as possible. If you find yourself with only a select choice of clothes then wait until you have more. This is a great way to save energy. Turning the machine on for half a load is a bad way to drain energy so avoid it and make your loads full! Being Eco is the correct and better lifestyle choice so start going green today!
