Mohop Eco-Friendly Sandals
They get my vote for being stylish and fashionable. And of course for being eco-friendly too. But I just don’t know how comfortable these shoes are.

These wedge sandals are from a brand called Mohop.
The sandals all come with that wooden sole, which seems to be the line’s trademark. All the other adornments are made of eco-friendly and recycled materials.
Mohop calls this the Infinity Sandals and anyone who buys it can create their own, using their patent-pending elastic loops and ribbons. They offer many design possibilities which is what you have to love about these pairs of shoes. With it, you won’t have someone else wearing the same sandals as you are.
The ribbons are made from recycled saree fabric and the prints are done using chemical-free dyes. The wood come from sustainable Para Tree Rubbers found tropical sites. This is the same element used to make latex mattress. When the trees are older, they tend to lose properties to produce latex, so they are being reused for shoes.
According to Mohop’s designer:
Pará rubber tree plantations are an income-generating crop for families in tropical regions, discouraging locals from clear-cutting forestland for livestock or other less-sustainable crops. Rubber wood plantations mimic indigenous tropical forests and provide a natural habitat for plants and animals, some of which are severely threatened or endangered. The rubber wood undergoes very minimal processing to be carved into footwear, and all scraps and even sawdust is re-used.
The brand also has ready-to-wear items, all of which are handcrafted in Chicago. And according to their website, their shoes are actually comfortable, despite the height of the wedge heels. The footbed has a nice support on the balls or heels. And you also do away with chafing or blisters because everything else is either clasped with elastic loops or ribbons.
Cleaning the sandals is possible with water and soap. The ribbons may also be machine washed if it gets really dirty.
