Weeds in the garden are not nice to look at. It’s not only unpleasant, it’s an ecological problem that could affect the health of the people exposed to it. If you’re garden is full of weeds, there are still a few more weeks left to the summer. Make clearing out weeds, or preventing them from every growing back, the last project you have to do this season by following these tips.
Use a water and vinegar spray for weeds you don’t want growing on your lawn or walkway. They will kill the weeds eventually. Better if you use warm water with the vinegar as you spray.
While getting rid of weed is not a task many people enjoy, there are a few ways you can do to prevent it from growing in the first place. For instance, if you have an empty patch of land in our garden, weeds can easily grow there. So, what you an do is simply recycle old newspapers. Wet a few of these so that and then cover the ground with it. Weeds will not grow where the newspapers are, because it will now allow sunlight to seep through the soil. In a couple of weeks however, the newspaper will be infested with earthworms, which actually makes the soil a lot healthier. This is the best time then to plant new seeds.
Lastly, take the time to care for your lawn, and learn to cultivate it. You will appreciate a cleaner, nicer lawn, even if it doesn’t have a lot of pretty flowers and garden design. And you will also contribute to cleaner, fresher air with a space that’s weed free.
