Compressible Storage Can Make Homes Better Organized and Clutter Free

bagAnything that promises better organization and convenient storage without bulky plastic and waste has to be good – especially when 43 percent of consumers who responded to a recent survey said that the biggest challenge to improving their home’s organization was lack of space.

ITW Space Bag, manufacturer of the original Space Bag vacuum-seal storage bags, has just unveiled a vacuum-seal, 3 Pocket Organizer, which allows even the bulkiest items (like blankets and towels)  to be compressed into a fraction of their original size and at the same time, keeps those items separated for quick and easy access.

The jumbo-sized 3 Pocket Organizer – which is 39.25″ x 47.75″ – has internal dividers which separate items like clothing, bedding and other bulky items inside the bag, yet all three pockets can be vacuum-sealed simultaneously by using an ordinary home vacuum cleaner to evacuate air through the one-way valve.  Contents which are compressed this way take up less than half their normal space.

Pocket 1, which is 39.25″ x 26″, is designed to store large items like bedding, blanket, towels, etc., while Pockets 2 and 3, each 19.25″ x 21.25″, are perfect for clothing like shirts, sweaters, jackets, and even stuffed toys. There are also two separate zippers, one located on each side of the bag, for easy access to all 3 pockets.

Since the contents are vacuum-sealed, this means they’re protected from the nasties, such as dirt, bugs, water, mildew and odors.

You can store the bag in all kinds of places – the garage, attic, basement, under the bed, in the trunk, in your boat and RV and once compressed, the organizer conveniently folds in half to minimize storage space even further.

The Space Bag 3 Pocket Organizer retails for $12.99 and will be available at Target later this month, while Wal-Mart and other retail chains will begin selling the product in the second quarter of 2009, just in time for spring cleaning!
