Cute Fabkins Eco-Friendly Kids’ Cloth Napkins Make Green Living Easy

fabkinsIn honor of Earth Day 2009, Fabkins, a provider of cloth napkins for kids, has recently announced a new design especially for Earth Day, an educational “green tool-kit,” and introduced new partner promotions.

The colorful, kid-friendly cloth napkins can save families money by eliminating the expense of disposable paper napkins – in fact, according to the National Geographic Green Guide (Spring 2008), families can save almost $100 a year by simply switching from paper to cloth napkins.

Fabkins are soft and durable everyday kids’ cloth napkins which are available in an array of bright colors and playful designs. Sized just right for little laps and lunchboxes, Fabkins napkins come in packs of five in eight different too-cute themes especially for kids – “Prima Ballerina,” “Sports Fan,” “Beach Bound,” “African Safari,” “Fruit Salad,” “Garden Friends,” “Flower Power” and “Extreme Sports.”

Fabkins can be used in lunchboxes and lunch bags, with meals at home, as a unique party favor, for a picnic or playtime tea party, and on-the-go.

Fabkins has launched a brand new design for Earth Day, as well as a green “tool-kit” for schools:

Polar Bear Fabkins – Available in sets of two, this new design for Earth Day features cute white polar bears on soft, solid blue fabric. A portion of all revenue from the sale of the Polar Bear Fabkins will be donated to a national polar bear research organization.

Earth Day Toolkit for Schools – Complete with step-by-step guides, classroom activities, tips and more, this information-rich toolkit will serve as a resource for any school looking to go green.

Fabkins has also partnered with other eco-friendly companies to offer consumers Earth Day specials, including a complimentary Let’s Go Green Kids CD and a discount with waste-free lunch product provider KidsKonserve.

Fabkins is a Marin County, California-based company started in early 2007 by Joyce Raffo and Paige Rodgers, two friends and fellow moms. Fabkins was created out of the desire to offer kids a fun and easy way to be a part of saving the environment. Joyce and Paige were both committed to packing “waste-free” lunches for their school-age children but had trouble finding cute cloth napkins that weren’t too formal or too big, so they decided to create their own – and Fabkins was born!

Fabkins are sold online, in retail stores and through schools. For more information, visit Fabkins.com.
