Jewelry Designer Introduces New Line to Draw Attention to Water Conservation

maloufAward winning jewelry designer, Dian Malouf, is concerned that our earth’s water is wasted and over-used by excessive building and population growth that continues to flourish beyond water’s capabilities.

Her new line of jewelry – Flowers, Ferns and Rainforests – in both sterling silver and 14k gold, makes an environmental fashion statement. Each new design piece comes with a small card (text shown below) enlightening its wearer on how they personally can preserve our planet’s water.

What you can do to save planet earth’s water:

    1. Turn off water while brushing your teeth.
    2. Water lawn early in the morning. Use as little fertilizer as possible; fertilizer and pesticide poisons run back into our water system.
    3. Use any leftover water on flowers.
    4. Use 1/4 less water in your bath.
    5. Take shorter showers.
                                              …it’s up to us

Benjamin Franklin once said “When the well is dry, we will learn the value of water.”

Dian hopes that her new line will remind its wearer and all who see it to remember that water is precious. A portion from the sale of Flowers, Ferns and Rainforests jewelry will go to the American Ground Water Trust.
