Selestial Soap Natural Laundry Detergent
If you’ve been waiting for an all natural laundry detergent to hit the market, your wait is over!
Consumers who have been searching for green cleaning products have a new alternative for their laundry detergent needs. Selestial Soap has launched a new liquid laundry detergent that contains all-natural ingredients, is hypoallergenic and non-toxic and doesn’t contain phosphates, sodium sulfate, perfumes or dyes.
Selestial Soap is a non-sudsing formula that rinses cleanly so that there’s no residue left behind to irritate your skin, or damage fabrics or machinery. The detergent is reportedly effective in all water temperatures and is recommended for both traditional and high-efficiency washing machines.
Selestial Soap was developed after Ruth Smith and her business partner Jim Legato went searching for alternative green products to use at Eastfield Laundry, Legato’s laundromat which is located in Traverse City, Michigan. The pair were unable to find an environmentally friendly detergent that cleaned effectively and was priced competitively with traditional detergents, so they took matters into their own hands and developed their own formula.
A 50-oz bottle of Selestial Soap retails for $6.99 while a 100-oz bottle is $11.99. Both sizes are available individually and in case packs, while 5-gallon pails are also available for commercial applications.
