Pur Brands has recently developed a line of clothing which combines the luxury of cashmere with bamboo. The ecologically and environmentally friendly, innovative (and more than likely) luxurious fabric is called Camboo (how clever!) and it seems to be a perfect fit for those who are eco-conscious but still love a little luxury, too.
Who says you can’t have both, right?
What the people at Pur have done is pair up two natural resources – a blend of cashmere and bamboo – into one natural, luxury fiber. According to Pur, bamboo is a fast-growing, sustainable, and easily renewable natural resource, which also has anti-bacterial properties, so it grows without the need for pesticides. When bamboo is harvested, it doesn’t damage surrounding land or cause destruction of forestation.
The fiber is made from the cellulosic pulp at the core of the bamboo stalk and through a special process; the pulp is transformed into a light, translucent fiber and fabric.
