Government reforms drive energy transition

Mr. Chikote emphasized that the energy sector is undergoing a global transformation driven by climate change, technology, and sustainable development demands. He noted that Zambia’s response must be bold, inclusive, and built on strong partnerships. Ongoing government reforms include the review of the Electricity Act and Energy Regulation Act, improvements to the Energy Regulation Board, and streamlined licensing and tariff processes.
